THE Fiji National Provident Fund has received applications from qualified consultants and professionals for the completion of construction works at the international five-star Momi Bay Resort.

The decision to complete the resort was made public with the fund requesting a state of capability from consultancy firms.

"The fund is currently evaluating bids sent in by interested parties," said the chief executive officer Aisake Taito.

The fund had called for qualified firms such as agricultural and design documentation services, specialist landscape architectural and external works, quantity surveyor, building service engineer, structural and civil engineers and interior designer to tender their services for the project.

Applications for these were closed early last month and the fund could not reveal how many parties have applied because of confidentiality.

Meanwhile, the fund squashed concerns that staff would receive bonuses soon saying the only benefit staff would receive was a new set of uniform.
