CCF questions credibility of Fiji Constitution process

Fiji's new constitution provides immunity from prosecution for all people involved in the 2006 military coup.

It also sets up a single chamber parliament with 50 members elected by proportional representation.

There are also provisions for a Bill of Rights which guaranteed the right to education, food, housing and work, freedom of speech and an independent judiciary.

Fiji's Citizens' Constitutional Forum is preparing a detailed analysis of the document, CEO Reverend Akuila Yabaki says they want to reiterate their concern about the credibility of the process.
